November 21-24: eHarmony’s Thirteenth Free Communication Weekend

Free Communication until Sunday

It’s upcoming once again, the Pre-Thanksgiving Annual eHarmony Free Communication Weekend. Does that sound like a state fair or what?

The last one was 31 October-2 November, 3 weeks ago.

Paid members, get ready to nudge your matches on Friday and move them along communication until Monday. Free members, get ready to sneak in your email address and meet the love of your life free-of-charge.

Tip: FCW participants cannot initiate, accept or reject FastTrack, so don’t initiate FastTrack with them this weekend or communication would be stuck.

Thanks for the notice, eHB. I'll post some feedback mid and end of the FCW. It is pretty quiet on the eH front for me these days…hopefully the FCW will liven things up.

What time is it? 4:54pm of a Wednesday before an FCW? Guys, eHarmony brought me 35 new matches today already. All within 60 miles.

Question, I was at the "Send 2nd Questions" stage with one of my matches, but while waiting for her answers, her subscription expired (in her profile she mentioned not paying after a certain date). So the day her subscription expired I sent a FastTrack request to at least trade email addresses. I guess I didn't send it in time because I never heard back. So two questions:

    1. I put my email address in the subject of the FT request, will she be able to see that even if she isn't subscribed?

    2. Even though I initiated FT, would she still be able to answer the "2nd Questions" on free comm weekend? Or am I pretty much screwed unless she decides to subscribe again?

    Thanks!

    1. Yes, if and only if she accepted your FastTrack before she expired.

    2. If she hasn't accepted or rejected on the FastTrack request before she expired, then as I said, communication is stuck, unfortunately. I don't know — ask eHarmony Customer Service for assistance. (Their priority is paid members, as you may know.)

If she has accepted FastTrack, she has already skipped the "2nd question stage". She can answer them on her own on OC.

P.S. You can tell by yourself the answer to #1. eHarmony would have sent you an email when she made the decision.

No "FastTrack Response Received" email, no luck.

Thanks for the info, too bad I requested the FT before reading this blog post, I didn't realize a free comm weekend was coming up so soon…

Hrmph. Perhaps I'm up a creek without a paddle (or a life-jacket) this FCW. I got ONE new match today. This will be the subject of another post I am formulating.

There’s fine-print on-screen about this free three-day weekend. It is only for US/Canada.

    Hey Guys,

I am unable to reach eH website. The Internet Explorer just times out.

Here is irony: I am a paid member situated outside of US/Canada!

    Any clues?

Their site is up for me at 11 EST. It is probably is a network connectivity problem between your ISP and eHarmony.

This utility can tell you where the lapse is:
