Official Answer to ‘Is the timing and quantities of matches manipulated?’

Question

Is the timing of matches manipulated in any way? Many people report they get a surge of matches RIGHT AFTER they took the test, RIGHT BEFORE a free communication weekend, and RIGHT BEFORE their subscription ends. Does the software do this by design? Or is the timing and the daily quantities that one receives matches completely random? Suspicious minds want to know.

Answer

Our software doesn’t manipulate time or create surges in matching. Matches are generated as they become available.

All of our members will receive new matches based on mutually compatible results on their Relationship Questionnaires + mutually inclusive settings on their My Settings pages.

You will receive new matches who meet these criteria as they sign up for eHarmony, turn on their matching, and/or either you and/or your potential matches change your settings to include each other in your criteria.
