eHarmony activated a new set of codes today. As usual you can find them in our spiffy promotional codes page. There’s no rush to check them out though, because it’s the fourth month that eHarmony has no $9.95/month code. The “U6AQC29S” series was from last June.
Many readers who enjoyed the $9.95 price before are holding off their decision to resubscribe.
We gave eHarmony an A for effort last June, and we’re surprised at the attention that article got. eHarmony Inc has already read it 8 times! Since the $9.95 codes have stopped, we’re having second thoughts about the laurel. The Google Maps interface is gone, and honestly, have you read anything good in eHarmony Advice recently?
Something interesting happened this month though. A few of our readers were inspired by a comment from a reader named cinder in November last year. Here’s what cinder wrote:
I called and asked for a promo. I started off by saying that I found a lot of negative feedback online and didn’t feel comfortable spending that amount of money on something that might not work. I then asked for the 3 mon. for $30 deal. She looked and only found the 3 mo for $60 deal. I said, “mm.. should i call back some other time when that $30 deal is available?” and she quickly changed her tune, “looked” some more and was able to secure the $30 deal, lol. She said that code expires tomorrow tho – 11/9/08. Give it a try! She was super helpful!!
What we are doing now is getting those “few” readers organized, while they get the company to “quickly change her tune”.
Of course!
It’s Business 101 that your customers set the prices, not you. Until eHarmony provides an outstanding and compelling offering — one that gets people excited and writing blogs and talking — they have and will have nothing to stand their prices on despite all the dollars they spend to get our attention.
Nice job, cinder!
