Tossing ideas around — What if eHarmony offered a Deluxe version…?

DeluxeThe “Personal Matchmaker Service” banner last week and a weekend of playing with Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Home Basic gave me an idea. What if eHarmony offered a Deluxe version to its customers?

Deluxe will have the same compatibility matchmaking algorithm and the same guided communication process but have none of the things customers dislike or with which have bad experiences in eHarmony. Well, you guys know what they are….

First, I think Customer Service will be relieved. Instead of being on the dead-end with the same old complaint, the rep can upsell the member to the Deluxe version.

Second, eHarmony will widen their market. The Basic (or Classic) version will be priced at the same level as Match.com and other dating sites and comes with the same “gotchas” as these sites, while the Deluxe version is for customers who believe “Time is Money” and thus comes with more conveniences.

Yes I am talking about day-to-day conveniences and not “premium services” toys like the Premium Personality Profile, Secure Call, RelyID and Profile Advisor, that members seldomly use, if at all.

What do you think? I will return to this topic next week and start a poll.

Why are you so concerned about what products eH should offer, and about their advertising, and etc.? This information is of no value to anyone but eH itself. Which makes me wonder if you are as separate and independent from eH as you claim to be.

How about returning to your original emphasis of actually using eH?

I agree with Fester’s suggestion, actually. This site may also gain more readers.
