eHarmony Blog is on your side. If you have a complaint with eHarmony and you have trouble getting through customer service, let us know. Don’t forget to give your eHarmony account email address and don’t forget to give us permission to chase eHarmony on your behalf.

Here is last month’s supply of consumer complaints against eHarmony posted on the leading gripe website ConsumerAffairs.com, plus our comments. Some of this month’s complaints are valid and justified, thus highlighted, while the rest are “buyer beware — read the fine print” or may be resolved with a call to customer service.

(Since 1953, Baskin-Robbins has been known for their “31 Flavors” slogan. Although they have over 55 regional, nationwide and worldwide flavors now, the ice cream parlor still retains the “31″, even as far as its corporate logo. The same goes for eHarmony’s “29 Dimensions”, which is a term they have trademarked. Listed below are Dr. Warren’s “Classic” 29 dimensions, in his own words.)

When trying to decide whether to join eHarmony, remember that there are exactly two things that eHarmony has and your free dating sites don’t.

1. Massive Television Advertising in North America

Only a small few dating sites have as much brand awareness and market reach as eHarmony, especially in the United States. You can assume that if someone in your small town suddenly decided to try online dating, one of the sites he or she will check out is eHarmony, and not X, Y and Z free dating site who rely mostly on word-of-mouth. eH Advice Host Kate(Our favorite eHarmony Host Kate posts a timely and e-Sential article today on using eHarmony effectively. I think it’s better than the “5 Keys to Success” video that Warren made several years ago. After all, the doctor didn’t work in an inbound call center for a dating site for at least a year.
